If in creating process of Virtual Box VM you have selected the option Dynamically Expanding Storage, you will find that the file size expands whenever you install new applications in the VM or add new files.
However, when you uninstall or delete applications, the file size of the VM does not shrink: if you are constantly installing and uninstalling applications in your VM, the VDI file could be taking up more space than it is actually using.

How to resurrect a GuruPlug
To install the GuruPlug you need:
– JTAG Board
– TFTP server
– Linux Box connected to JTAG via USB (I’ve used Debian 8).
Connect the UART port to the GuruPlug and the JTAG board to your Linux computer.

Add Fax capabilities in Asterisk >=13
Beginning with Asterisk 13 Digium will no longer make available the res_fax_digium module (FFA or commercial versione): if you want fax capabilities you should use the res_fax_spandsp module.
Yes, I know, it is possible to use IAX modem, but sometimes I prefer use T.38 protocolo to receive fax, and only res_fax_spandsp can support this protocol. I’ll show hot to install res_fax_spandsp in a working IncrediblePbx 13 inst.

Debian & HyperV just do not mix ! How to mitigate Debian freeze on HyperV
In these days I’ve found an issue related a guest Debian 7 in Hyper-V vers. 6.3 on Windows 2012 R2.
On a random Basis the file system will be mounted Read-Only due to a disk error: as a result Debian hangs and I need to force a reboot to get the system working again.
I made several configuration changes… I’m not sure they have solved the random issue but it’s been three months now and the problem is no longer happened.
