Risolvere l’errore “Permission denied for attachment” in Android

L’errore occorre quando, da codice, si tenta di allegare un file qualsiasi a una mail utilizzando il clienti di posta predefinito in Android.

Come spesso accade l’errore non avviene in modo omogeneo e univoco, e quindi è più difficile da riscontrare.

La causa principale è che recentemente sono state modificate delle opzioni di sicurezza in Android, e queste restringono i percorsi da cui è possibile allegare file all’interno di email.

Windows 2003: Lost network connectivity

Windows95WowYesterday I was working on an old windows 2003 server. I know: Windows 2003 is beyond End-Of-Life and it is dangerous to use it in production environment, but here in genoa we are famous for not wasting anything, and also the server is used in a “sandbox” and run an old legacy software not available for later windows versions.

When I was copying some files server has stopped all connectivity.
– Attempting to ping any ip on the dedicated LAN returns “destination host unavailable”.
– The NIC & Driver looks fine in device manager
– Ethernet connection in Network Properties shows status as Connected
– Link light and activity light are active on NIC
– Using arp -a I can see that the ip-MAC address association works ! Continue reading

S.M.A.R.T. stands for Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology and is a monitoring system for hard disk to detect the low-level indicators of the general health conditions of the device. Note that the raw values are calculated by the drive’s SMART logic internally.

PfSense NanoBsd-based: issue after upgrade to 2.3

PfSense-Vers23Some days ago I’ve upgraded my pfSense installed in the office to new release 2.3. This device is running is a mother board PC Engines ALIX-based with compact flash: for this reason pfSense is based on NanoBSD image.
Usually this process is flawless, but now I’ve noticed after the upgrade lot of slowness: some page take long time to respond or do not load at all.
